TeleEye broadcasts video of marine education activities to outside world...

CCTV broadcastts onlineThe Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park is one of the Hong Kong first's designated Marine Parks. Fifty-nine coral species and rich diversity of marine lives have been discovered in this small bay.

To protect this natural environment, the WWF Hong Kong has launched the "Save Our Seas" campaign aiming at achievement of sustainable fisheries practices and marine conservation in Hong Kong and the region. Establishment of the Marine Life Center in the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park for research and education programmes is a critical component to ensure successful implementation of the goal.

To help the public visualizing how marine life can enrich our living and natural environment, TeleEye has donated web video equipment including video recording server, weather proof IR cameras as well as Cyber TeleEye Web Video Monitoring Solution to the WWF Hong Kong for video broadcasting of education activities within the centre and the Hoi Ha Bay to outside world.

IR cameras connected to TeleEye Video Recording Server have been installed on pier, roof and side wall of the Marine Center. The cameras on roof and side wall broadcast education activities participated by students while the camera on pier provides live images of students' boarding glass-bottomed boat to observe lives of hermit crabs and explore coral cities.

Through the TeleEye web video broadcasting, we show the public work of the WWF Hong Kong and, more importantly understanding what happens beneath the sea and why it needs sustainable management.
